How Stemcrafters Training Works
Assessment
Stemcrafters’ training begins with a detailed assessment of each school district’s culture, staff needs, and leadership expectations. Training is tailored to the background of students, prior experience of teachers, and a clear measure of what professional staffing resources are needed to help your school district reach its achievement goals.
Engagement
Most training blocks run as four-day intensives. During this time, staff builds technical proficiency in their core subject areas through hands-on problem solving. Detailed guidance on teaching theory, classroom management, plus student assessment and support strategies prepare teachers for model lessons that they will deliver throughout the training week. Staff training is a live interaction delivered by experienced professionals, not a webinar or a slide deck with multiple-choice questions.
Support
Staff training packages include options for ongoing coaching and technical support. Guided lesson planning, post-lesson assessment, targeted problem solving and basic technical support all assure that teachers are well supported as they take on the challenge of teaching new content.
